Wage Range: $26.62 - $39.18 per hour plus Lead Premium of $1.75 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
EvergreenHealth has outpatient phlebotomy clinics located in Canyon Park, Redmond, Woodinville, Kenmore, and Kirkland. This position will cover all locations.
Job Summary: Provides high level, complex support to clinical laboratory assistants, phlebotomy and non-phlebotomy roles. Responsible for knowing the Laboratory goals and interests and provides and/or coordinates functions involved with quality improvement processes, programs and services. Demonstrates knowledge with proven track record of minimal errors; acts as a mentor, preceptor and trainer to lead respective team to higher level of performance. Fulfills all of the job functions and responsibilities of the Clinical Lab Assistant I and II within designated department
Primary Duties: 1. Performs venipuncture and capillary puncture blood sample collections on patients of all age groups, and accurately identifies and labels all specimens following established laboratory protocol. 2. Uses the laboratory information system or other reference laboratory’s web based applications to independently solve complex issues in a sensitive, caring and timely manner. 3. Answer and navigate calls with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy using best customer service tactics and practices 4. Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED for the position:
High school diploma or equivalent or applicable coursework to be applied to obtain required WA State Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy (MA-P) - Certification.
3 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory role
Previous supervisory, leadership or lead experience.
Certification from an approved laboratory-training program with successful completion of a required internship preferred, or relevant work experience.
Washington Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy (MA-P) upon hire
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

DESIRED for the position: • 3 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory customer service or specimen processing role • Previous training and competence in dealing with the unique needs in the range of customer service situations with clinicians and their office staff • Working knowledge of the various government regulations specifically Medicare and the Washington state medical Test Site regulations. Working knowledge of the College of American Pathologists (ASCP) and the Joint Commission (TJC) inspection criteria • PBT(ASCP)
