Wage Range: $99,216 - $158,724 per year

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity. 
 
Job Summary:
This position holds a critical role in the day-to-day coordination of the quality initiatives in the Women and Children’s division. In partnership with the Women and Children’s Executive Directors and the Executive Medical Director, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating services and activities associated with the quality initiatives for the Women and Children’s division. This includes but is not limited to, collection, analysis, and submission of regulatory data.
 
Primary Duties:
  1. Performs day-to-day review of patient records for various Women and Children’s activities/requirements including concurrent review for compliance to policies and clinical practice guidelines. Provides feedback as needed.
  2. Collects, reviews, and analyzes process and outcomes data from a variety of sources (chart review, computer generated reports, clinic reports, and observation) to provide accurate and consistent information for review and evaluation of patient care outcomes and assessment of Women and Children’s quality metrics.
  3. Monitors quality, continuity of care, clinical outcomes and system issues related to care delivery, through event reviews, case reviews, and sentinel events.
  4. Facilitates and designs systems for accurate data collection, feedback, analysis, and trend reports while protecting confidentiality.
  5. Maintains obstetrical and neonatal databases for the purpose of regulatory standards and performance improvement.
  6. Analyzes and presents data as needed to Women and Children’s leadership for ongoing internal projects and external reporting requirements.
  7. Responsible for communicating and collaborating with Women and Children’s medical and nursing leadership to provide feedback and case reports for staff caring for obstetric, newborn and pediatric patients.
  8. Collaborates with the Medical Directors to provide performance measurement feedback reports to the Medical Staff office and appropriate Medical Directors regarding physician compliance with quality metrics in the care of obstetrical, newborn and pediatric patients.
  9. In partnership with Executive directors, participates in quality improvement activities in accordance with organizational plans using various methodologies.
  10. Works closely and meets regularly with the Executive Directors to review obstetrical and neonatal cases, proposes and helps facilitate changes to improve obstetrical, newborn and pediatric outcomes.
  11. Participates in and provides data presentations for the Women and Children’s Quality Steering Committee.
  12. Participates in inter-facility program feedback and development.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned. 
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
 
REQUIRED for the position: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or other health related fields
  • Licensed in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse
  • 5 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement tools and methodologies 
DESIRED for the position: 
  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or other health related fields
  • Direct patient care experience in obstetrical, pediatric or commensurate clinical experience.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and QI data display software
